"Tides No. 5"

$600.00

Tides No. 5 — Indigo and charcoal bloom across the canvas. Smoky edges dissolve into washes and darker pools anchor the piece with intensity.

Key Features

  • Medium: ink and acrylic on gallery-wrapped canvas (1.5” depth)

  • Palette & texture: slate grey, midnight blue, inky indigo; soft gradients and pools

  • Size: 36x36”

  • Framing: ships unframed; mockup shown for scale and styling ideas

  • Price includes domestic US shipping.

Ideal For

  • Those who connect with abstract work that feels emotive and alive

  • Minimal, modern, or mid-century spaces that favor statement art

  • Bedrooms, living rooms, reading nooks, or studios seeking a focal point

Placement & Styling Notes

  • Frame in white for a gallery-clean presence, natural oak to warm the cool palette, or black to heighten contrast.

  • Hangs beautifully on white, pale grey, or clay-toned walls.

  • Pair with soft lighting to echo the piece’s airy diffusion.

About the Work

My practice is a dialogue between intuition and material. I mix precise hues by eye and let drips, blooms, and edge-softening washes remain—a lot of of motion and risk.

What I like about this piece:

I like the ghostly feeling that the watery grays evoke, and the blue that emerges from the saturated black pigment.

Common Questions

  • Is it framed? It ships unframed.

  • Will the colors match my screen? Expect slight variations due to monitor calibration

  • Shipping & packaging: Works are protected with acid-free glassine wrap and rigid packaging; fully insured.

No one told me how much real joy it would be to see my art hanging in someone's home, that truly connected with it. I did a drawing/giveaway for this piece back in February, and the day that the winner sent me this shot of it hanging in her space...w
