About the Work
My practice is a dialogue between intuition and material. I mix precise hues by eye and let drips, blooms, and edge-softening washes remain—a lot of of motion and risk.
What I like about this piece:
the legs of pigment that ran across the canvas, and the way the lighter areas dried to really look like a tide...this deep turquoise presents a wonderful transparency and quality.
